Great first LTLO jam and MRMR is funky goodness. In response to the guy who thinks they lost their edge... Less than a year ago they played like 7 shows in a row where they jammed every set out of a single song. They're still warming up for crying out loud... they get better every year. Personally I can't think of a single band I'd rather go see. Keep killin' it dudes!

I have been a huge Spafford fan for probably 5 or 6 years now. When I found them I knew they were the next big thing and their improvisation and creativity was hitting inspirational moments one after the other. Unfortunately, I have to disagree with most of the reviews I see these days. I can't put my finger on it, but something is off. The mix, mentioned as great in another review, is actually really bad. There's no punch in any track, and the vocals are too far forward and not mixed well relative to each other. When multiple folks are singing sounds like a room full of people just talking over each other instead of hitting together and something is missing to give the grooves the depth and drive that they should have. The grooves are there musically but something about the punch and the edginess of the tone is not there. And something is lakadasical about the creativity these days or maybe it is just that it's been heard before. There aren't moments where I don't know what's happening and am falling in love with that feeling. Everything is the same feeling. It's been done. This is a classic setlist, as classic as such a young band can have, so maybe the framework is a little tattered because it's been heard many times but I'm not sure that's it. Something is just off, and it makes me sad for my fan-ship. I hope they can sharpen things back together and find their chemistry again.

LTLO has some nice moments, but to my ears it's all about the Red's Jam>My Road. Sound quality is phenomenal. It is pointless to compare these guys to anybody else, there is no comparison. If the mass market doesn't get it, that just means we don't have to fight for tickets. Fine by me.
