I remember this. This during the '02 Cheese/Phil leap frog tour. Phil would play and Cheese was a day or two behind so I'd hit em all across the country hitch hiking. Between all that and the Rainbows Gatherings along with the Grateful Dead Family Reunion shows in Alpine and random festivals.....It was a long 15months on the road!!!

One of my favorite albums. Warren at his peak, great songwriting. The real thing is a contender for a top 10 favorite song of all time.

Great album from the Phil Lesh Quintet. Haynes & Herring absolutely kill it on guitars while Molo holds down the drums & Rob Barraco plays keys. "Patchwork Quilt" & "The Real Thing" are two of the most beautiful songs ever written. Tracks 2-6 on this album are all very good songs.
