Just discovered this A Western Sun > Echo concert on YouTube. So happy that the whole show is on Nugs. Pandemic Audience distancing, overcast day...seemed to set the band into this both deep and transcendent place.

Agree with everyone the Western Sun is top notch!!! And to pull it off in a first set let’s you know these guys are in the zone (no pun intended). This reminds me if some old school moe. jams in the ‘90’s. Great to see them learning and exploring!!

@bdian ops. I totally agree. From time to time i hear mmw & mmsw teases and jams. I had a flashback to many bubble house jams i experienced in nyc from mmw in early 90s to late 2000s.

All major goose jams rip but this western sun is in another league. What I appreciate is that the band took some risks and they paid off, it sounds like they broke into some new territory they hadn’t been before. Never heard them sound like that before I love hearing a band really explore and goose is pushing that direction. I think years from now we’ll look at this one as a seminal jam for the band

Western Sun -> Echo is some of the best Goose jamming to date. Patient and rhythmic, there's no rushes to peaks, everything feels so right. Shows just how far this band has come and where they are trying to get to. Empress has a Jive Lee type jam. Killer show all around.
