This show is Turkuaz’s best. From Start to Finish perfection. Full technicolor, 2am. 2nd weekend of Jazzfest. If you don’t already know how incredible this group was, jump right into Eminence Front->Life in The City.
Other highlights- Bubba Slide, 20 Dollar - Gregs sax solo, Babies Making Babies (holy shit Josh), Shira ripping The Question, Sammi shredding If I Could Rule The World (again Greg, Chris, and Josh’s horn work), every single Craig guitar solo (Ex. If I ever fall asleep)- dude was on another level. Mikey does not miss a beat- probably played it in cowboy boots too. Dave’s vocals are in tune and he doesn’t talk too much for once. Taylor crushes.
The 2-4 part vocal harmonies are of another world through the show.—- Jump to Electric Habitat which also has ANOTHER absurd Craig guitar solo.
The sound at this show and the mix is incredible- has to be Zach Fichter’s work.- 8 musicians and you can hear each person perfectly clear. Just outstanding.
