After three spins , I haven't been swept away yet. I tried to get into WSP with "light fuse and get away", I traded it for a copy of some GD bootlegs. I didn't get it. It wasn't until I seen Panic at Alpine Valley, opening for Phil & Dylan, Dylan then Phil that night, that I GOT IT. I bought some studios , aquired some ooolllldddd bootlegs, and attended some shows, then I was hooked. The last time I seen a glympse of Mikey was at the first ROO. I have seen Jimmy with Phil and on last Falls Panic tour, I KNOW what he can do. I hope at this springs show ( better venue in Chi-town this spring than in the Fall) I will be swept away again. It just hasn't happend yet with the new line-up . It will though.

I had to take a minute to think this thru. I am not going to agree or disagree with the opinions of others as all have a right to speak for their feelings as they see fit. However, I would encourage anyone reading this post to go back to the posts/reviews of Earth To America. It seems there are always those that appreciate the new effort and those that are soooo stuck in "their" past that they can't see what is in front of them until time passes and the masses say "play it again". I am sure by now the clock has ticked away enough for all to see that the songs on E2A are fantastic. All the nay sayers then I am sure are calling for their favorites off that album when they see the band play live. They are equally excited when they realise the epiphany of "You Should Be Glad". I am sure they are crawling out of their "Second Skin" while feasting on "Ribs and Whiskey". The bottom line is this...a couple years down the road all of the current naysayers will be crying out to be "Free Somehow" and will ultimately be Tickled by the Truth!!!!

this cd is great and speaks for the band on what they are currently feeling in this stage of life and musical carreer. If you cant understand that and all you want to here is the same old panic without change then you dont understand musical evolution and you my friend jimmy are a complete idiot.

from first impression this is crap. some favorite memories of mine are panic shows, and i love the music this band has put out as much as anyone; but i'd rather listen to cats in heat.

i see a lot of people saying "like the new sound", and "herrings taking the band in the right direction". the band WAS in the right direction, and the original sound was TRUE panic. "boom boom boom" sounds like something that can be found one of mtv's shows. im sorry, but this CD is not the same stuff which we have come to know and love . stay with your roots...dont go mainstream. this message is not intended to bash panic by any means, i just dont want to see any unnecessary change.
"an honest tune with a lingering lead has taken me this far"
