This NYE show was amazing , definately the best post houser era NYE show! The energy was amazing and the band was on fire! The big highlights were: Life During Wartime > Jam > Machine > Tractor > Worry, Chilly > Time is free > Chilly, and the Driving > Wonderin' > Driving! If you werent there this is a must listen!
The band left u all breathless and exhausted! Thanks Boys for the killer shows!

I learned a long time ago that it is not always what the band playes but how they play it. The set lists were strong but the energy and improvised jams were the key. I thought I heard them go back into the main guitar line for Bust it Big several times throughout the rest of the show. I WAS high as hell but have ears from the Dead years. Thought I heard the intro to Rider along with a host of other tunes. They kept me guessing all night and I assure you that they flat wore me out!!!! The crowd energy was awesome as well!! About 10 times that of a regular show!! I can't wait to get the show and relive it....just hope the mix is decent. It would be impossible to put on disc what happened at Philips!!!!!!! Also worth note is the way in which they would purposefully drop the beat or change into something strange......the crowd is lost and trying to recover.....OH!!.. There it is!!!...and the band would just jump back into it where they left off!! You can't FEEL that on a disc. I don't know how else to express this but you had to have been there. You can't see what they were doing through the setlists!!!!!!Wild jams...drums galore...and on and on andon andon...... I only hope you can get a taste of how great this show was buy buying it and checking it out!! They deserve a break after that meltdown and I can't wait until the next time!! Until then........Don't Panic!....OR.......

This NYE show was ABSOLUTELY IN-F'ING-CREDIBLE - From the 1st sweet notes of 'Body & Soul', the whole place was just f*cking ELECTRIC!!! I can only really say that this is THE HIGHEST LEVEL THAT LIVE MUSIC COULD POSSSIBLY BE PLAYED AT. IMHO, the whole damn night was sooooo inspired and mind-bending and ultimately played with such purpose and intensity that is there are basically no words in my lexicon that describe what the boys pulled off. I guess, in words, nothing short of AAAAMMMAAAZZZING.
The HIGH-est of all the HIGH-lights were 'Body & Soul', 'PIGEONS', 'Holden ~>' and every-stunning-note played in the ENTIRE 3rd set, the slow jam into 'Ain't Life Grand' & 'BUST IT BIG' but esp. the jaw-dropping 'Chilly' sandwich of 'Time Is Free' ~> JB seems to (almost) inaudibly ad-lib the whole song with runs of raps & short phrases, all within a heavy echo/delay on his vocals backed by their ferocious pyschedelic jammming !!!
Then there is the good 'ol dark & diiirrtty Panic at its best 'Surpise > Protein > Sewing > CONRAAAD' ..... its at this point that there are NO words to describe the level of playing + I have used all the adverbs my tired, but still buzzing body & mind can muster > D/L this one w/o even a thought. I only hope the mix down was kind enough to sound as close to this stunnning experience as possible !!!

Definitely, ONE FOR THE AGES HERE.

this show was the shit! 2 years running in atl for new years and i'm definitely gonna be there next year

Happy New Year!!! This wasn't the show I expected. In fact, it is twice the show I thought it was going to be and I will definitely be in ATL next year. I expected a setlist with a fair amount of new songs, a couple old ones and some new covers and I expected them to be played a little sloppy. I was pleasantly surprised at how many key note panic tunes (chilly, pigeons, surprise, ect...) they played and how BIG they played them. The third set is nothing short of spectacular, very intense!

all I can say is "expectations are a bitch"

Widespread mother fucking Panic
