For Byrds aficionados, they know the original five-piece lineup of the Byrds consisted of Roger McGuinn (lead guitar, vocals), Gene Clark (tambourine, vocals), David Crosby (rhythm guitar, vocals), Chris Hillman (bass guitar, vocals), and Michael Clarke (drums)
By the February 1969 Filmore West show, the Byrds line-up included mainstay leader Roger McGuinn, ace guitarist Clarence White, bassist John York and drummer Gene Parsons. However, the sound is pure Byrds.
Lucky for us, someone had the foresight to capture this two night live performance on this album, The Byrds Live at the Filmore February 1969. It absolutely has some of the sweetest sounds of any performance anywhere. Thanks Nugs for including it in your library.
