Reviews for Widespread Panic: 11/17/1998 Calvin Theatre, Northampton, MA

The GOAT of all WSP shows for my money. First set is lightning in a bottle, second set ramps it up another notch somehow. One of the reasons I’m a big fan today.

Remember getting a DAT of this show in late 2000/early 2001 from a friend. Was surprised this show wasn't talked more about on Spreadnet. To pat myself on the back, I reached out to Everyday Companion to request they add the Little Little I heard when listening to the show. Glad this show got recognized by Horace and the team for inclusion in the multi-track series, it is a really good show. Love '98 Panic, the year I fell in love with Widespread!

Introduced RHM a couple weeks prior at Nolaween. And then opened with it. Dont think there is another RHM opener out there. ??

This show is great. I hope Widespread Panic releases more of Fall ā€˜98 through ā€˜99. Most are fire, faster tempo, and pure Mikey (lingering lead) bliss. 10/2 and 10/4 are sandwich fests, NOLAween, and DDBB touring with them from then on for most of the next 2 years was a nonstop party.

Second set is direct evidence of the spirit world
