Encore: Defrost (nh)> Akimbo /////// Chuck flub and laughter during the talkbox segment of (the very long) HHH, and a great segue into a fun Punch, w/ Al name-dropping famous news anchor and Deadhead Peter Jennings. Then Cornflake Girl?! Been awhile. The jam out of Letter feels like the jam out of Terrapin used to in a lot of ways (that’s a good thing), and the jam into New Hope is perfectly executed, a thing of beauty. Pit > Spin ain’t too shabby, either. Second set, despite some as-usual spectacular playing, never quite gets off the ground w/ a bunch of no-huddle segues. Akimbo to close.
