Jerry is on stage during Playing In The Band. John Mayer IS channeling Jerry Garcia. The SPERE will be life changing. Interesting but fine and dandy that 1000’s of heads are not listening to and reviewing these NUGS shows… but I am!!!!!

This was my first Dead (in any incarnation) show. We were late, got to our spot around Mexicali Blues. I wasn't too familiar with the music at the time, so I won't critique...Bird Song/Bertha was beautiful, The Wheel/Diamonds on The Soles of Her Shoes angelic, and Ripple sent me back home eager to jump in the catalog. I had a good time despite our friend taking wayyyyyy too much everything.

The show was actually eons better than what "Mike Watson" might lead you to know. They didn't let John do any of Jerry's songs (of course) and it went super fine. I'm happy with what I'm dealt with (just like most of us Deadheads are, we take what they give us. Ofc. Why do I even have to write this?) It's actually as close to them Dead shows as you can get right now if you care about that perimeter. The band showed it's bones during this show. My partner and I cried. It was amazing. It was an experience.

The show was decent. As with the Dead there were a few songs I could have wished they'd played instead of some but overall a good performance. With that said there was at no time that I thought Jerry was on stage. Actually listening reminded me just how much I miss Jerry and no one can replace him. Mayer is an excellent guitarist, fits well with Bobby, but he is not Jerry Garcia. So enjoy them for what they are, a good Dead cover band.

Crowd was in this show as much as the band, which means crazy positive show and energy.

Not sure what was hotter, the temperature or Dead & Co. This hasta be the 5th/6th time I've seen 'em, and each time it gets better. The band was incredibly tight all night long. There were moments during PITB I coulda swore Jerry was on the stage! The BS>Bertha>BS was a stroke of genius. Loved hearing "Prudence", but wished they'd have teased it out longer. The crowd (+20K) was equally into it, old & young alike. Definitely a must see!!
