Reviews for The String Cheese Incident: 8/3/2007 Camp Zoe, Salem, MO

Cream of the crop  (8/12/2007 5:40:51 PM)

Every show cheese played this weekend was executed with precision and more raw energy I have ever seen the boys have except maybe a couple shows in 2000-01. I was not expecing them to bust all these goodies out and i am still in awe from how magical this weekend was. This was my last incident, and Friday was good old number 50 for me. People can say what they will about Billy leaving but I admire the man for what he has contributed to cheese and how he is staying true to his heart. For me, the shows this weekend were the best I have EVER witnessed cheese play. Every incident has been a unique and wonderful experience, but this show along with Satuday take the cake for me. They are AMAZING!! So glad I got to see cheese go out with a bang. See ya friends!!

This night of cheese was probally the sickest ive ever seen. Unfortunately I miseed most of missin me and what I heard was a super sick botwp. But when I finally got to the big field at camp zoe and they were rippin sometimes a river a song that usually isn`t that jammed out I knew it was gonna be a spectacular night of cheese. A HUGE shine followed with wake up after that which is a persnal favorite of mine that i`d never gotten to see so I was super stoked at this point. After the sick nasty wake up the Del mccoury band camed out to play some bluegrass and it was awsome . Wheel hoss was a really good way to end the set and I was getting really into it since I never caught this one live either. The stage was set for the madness that was about to ensue. The band came back out and started playing magic carpet ride and the place was on fire, everyone was feeling it.At first outta mcr I heard a little bumpin reel tease in the ozark jam and i thought they were gonna drop it but when they dropped into rivertrance my mind almost exploded, they proceded to SLAY rivertrance and then finish the carpet ride. The johny cash, freedom jazz dance, osc,and climb that followed were just icining on the cake and after the set was done I was questioning myself if it was the best set of cheese i`d ever seen, and it just might have been. The encore sarted with close your eyes which isn`t my favorite song but of course they decided to fucking kill it and it made me a believer in it, then came mouwa bowa which is always fun and I was thinking it would surely be it but then Kyle whipped out the talking heads song What a day that was and i was super stoked since I`d never seen them play it either, kyle proceded to go fucking nuts on this song much like he was doing the whole night( fri. was definetly a kyle night) and when the song and the huge encore was finally over I along with everyone else at camp zoe was in awe, Had we seen the best cheese show all summer possibly even in a year so? I think we might have. But after this night the stage was set for what became one of my favorite three nights of music i`d seen in a long time or maybe ever!

Without a doubt this was the best String Cheese Incident I`ve ever been to or heard. The music and energy was so over the top that it didn`t matter about the set list or the next closest incident on any list. If you were there you would know this was way beyond special by a galactic mile.

Thank you SCI you`re the best at what you do.

I would agree about this show. Not only best of year, maybe all time. Camp Zoe was the place to see cheese at its finest. In the middle of woods, out in no mans land. I will miss this sound. Lucky to have seen this band as many times as I have. Thank you for a real good time!

First off, Camp Zoe is an amazing venue in every aspect. That being said, all three shows were very energetic at BSC, but Friday`s show was not only the best incident of the weekend, but possibly the best I`ve ever seen. On paper, the setlist doesn`t look the greatest, but the jams were insane and the passion the band played with was amazing. Normally I don`t like Missin` Me too much, but it was one of the highlights of the weekend in my mind. Lot of good old school songs here. Hadn`t heard Wake Up in quite some time. Great end to set one with Del and the boys, and the opener to set two was completely mind blowing. One of the best Rivertrances ever, and One Step Closer is a personal favorite. Thank you so much to the Cheese for this experience. Download this show, and it will change your life.

All 3 shows at Zoe were great and the first night was absolutely amazing... especially the 2nd set. Carpet Ride > Rivertrance blew me away and the CLIMB was off the charts. I think I heard them sound-checking CLIMB Friday morning so I was definitely looking for it at some point during the weekend. Do yourself a favor and get all the Zoe shows, you won`t be disappointed!

Holy Sh#t!!! What an amazing night. The secind set was by far one of the best sets I have ever seen, not to say the first set wasn`t awesome. They were on point and were flowin like water. Everything was so tight, all the trasitions and general flow of the jams was amazing practically no flaws. The carpet ride set it up for a rockin rivertrance and a killer jonnycash. I havn`t been blown away by cheese like that in a while, an it was worth the 100plus degree days for this night. The climb was nice and beautiful, it isn`t a frequently played one, so when we get it you know they are in the flow, and wow, the encore, was practically a third set and talking heads cover "what a day that was", left me speechless and bowing in awe the masters of Jam. This show is MUST to have in your arsenal, absolutely amazing, thanks cheese, you make music worth listening to, I will never forget it!!! now its time to head to the rocks for 4 amazing farewell nights, hope to see everyone there!!!!!!!!
