Reviews for Widespread Panic: 6/30/2007 Orpheum Theatre, Los Angeles, CA

swap first sets with the night before (6/29) and you would have the best show of the summer, hands down. As it is, this is a fantastic show and well worth the download. The aud`s of this run are nice, but the intricicies in the work done by JB, Sunny & Jojo really come out more distinctly on the sbd`s.

The jams in the second set are fantastic. Werewolves is pulled off remarkably well, with Jimmy ripping off perma-grin-inducing solos left & right. The jam out of it starts off very nicely, but they quickly dissolve into a too-long space jam...come on guys, not all of us are still doing acid!! stick to the rock n roll!!!

post drums is as good as it gets. One of the most energetic ILS in a long time and then the Conrad..wow. We get a little extension from Todd & JB on the jam and Jimmy fills it up with his magic. Try to sit still during that one.

I don`t know, Dave. We need a new booklet for this one. I had to peel myself off of a sprouting and deeply grooved column near stage right. The structural pattern left a temporary mark on my skin, and a permanent one in my brain. Perhaps Mr. Rockwell can start charging by the hour for consultations. If so, he should open an L.A. office right away.

Where`s the booklet?

Damn straight..this was one explosive evening! I only wish they could have added the "burning down the house" closer that kept the crowd fired up after the show. Don`t miss this one..it`s hot and one of the best second sets I have witnessed. Plus, Werewolves in London was a long time coming!!

If you have ever fancied the theme park locations where Disney`s French Quarter leads into the Haunted Mansion, then this show is for you. We were DreamWorked by musical legends.

far and away the best Panic show I`ve seen for years. the sound was fantastic in this beautiful little theater, and the crowd was non stop smiling and boogie-ing. this show is definitely worth checking out if you`ve got the time and the dime.

Holy !#%$# - The 2nd Set was the heat! Once again, the band hit stride the 2nd set and gave us the goods!
