Reviews for Widespread Panic: 6/9/2007 Wakarusa Music Festival, Lawrence, KS

Long live the whaling thunder of Widespread! Jeff from KC

KC dedicated deadhead here. Panic put Wakarusa on the map with a monster, no set break show that was my brother`s first show...my twentieth! Yonder Mountain into Panic just wore everyone out grooving to the bluegrass funk and then the jungle funk of Panic. Reddish pink sunset and no humidity made it perfect. JB had the southern rasp rollin, and the bass was "schoolin!" "Wondering" is one of my favorites. Please cover "The Ring of Fire" next time in KC. R.I.P. JC. They sound better than ever. The critical Panic fans need to lighten up. Long live the whaling thunder of Widespread! Jeff from KC

First time to Wakarusa, pretty cool set up! The boys were on fire! What a F*****n setlist, just a taste of what`s to come at Red Rocks!

Wow! What a show! Beautiful evening, energetic capacity crowd and a marathon performance with a set list second to none. The band was hot and looked like they might be having more fun than us. The blues intro to Ribs and Whiskey was killer and no better place than Kansas City to play the blues! I can only hope that the Wakarusa festival is a yearly stop for WSP.
