Reviews for Widespread Panic: 4/3/2007 Landmark Theater, Richmond, VA

there needs to be more balance. herring is no doubt able to master the 6string, but to balance it with the rest of the band is key. there were points where the band was clearly off kilter (airplane, other extended jams) and not balanced out. herring was much too prominent, extravagant, and loud at times. turn him down and simplify his intricate rifs in order to balance the overall sounds, blend it in to the others, dont drown it.
solution: turn JB up with his ditties, have schools be the point man and lead the dudes, JoJo and herring balance out on volume and flow, and watch the whole warping mass evolve into something that bobs all the heads in the crowd. bam.

This was my second show this spring, and I followed it with the Baltimore show, and I have to say that this show wasn`t the greatest I`ve ever been to. Angels on High is a helluva jame though, and I don`t think I`ve ever appreciated Party at your Mama`s House until this show. I wouldn`t download the whole show, but there are a few songs worth checking out. And I finally got to see Better Off!
