Reviews for Widespread Panic: 4/1/2007 Palace Theatre, Albany, NY

Great show and very tight musicianship but whoever did the mixing should be let go b/c Jimmy fades in and out throughout this show and the other two from this weekend run in Carbondale and Cleveland. Get it together. It`s not that hard. When I pay 16 dollars and expect to hear an even mix.

As a fan that saw his first Panic show in 1989 and has seen around a hundred since, it is really cool to read all the great reviews from newcomers. It doesnt get much better than a live Panic show right now. They are hitting new levels and I can hardly wait for summer tour here in the rocky mountains! Thank you Jimmy for completing the band! Herring will take us to greater levels.

I`ve already posted my initial review of the show and I still can`t get it out of my mind. I`ve been listening to Panic every day since the show and have been reading the reviews from the other shows too. They are all essentially the same - panic has to be one of the best live shows around and they deserve all of the praise that is heaped on them. Come back to Albany/Saratoga soon!!!!!

Deeply soulful, rockin and groovin! Now lemme just tell ya that i have been going to rock-n-roll shows for a long time and have been fortunate enough to experience some real epics from the likes of the Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, Little Feat, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Phish, and many others. Widespread Panic is something truely special and the performance at the Palace last Sunday was nothing short of master musicianship. Great scene, great venue, great town.
Thanks for the stellar jams fellas. Please come back soon.

I hadn`t seen WSP since Mike passed to another dimension. They`re as good, better than ever. PORCH SONG under a full moon was a treat. A good mix of old & new tunes, but I was a little disappointed not hearing anything from "Everyday."
The acoustics in the balcony were not good, vocals were murky. But moving to the floor remedied that situation.
Dave commented "Thanx for coming out on a Sunday night, Albany," which makes me wonder if they realize what a following they have. I sat near people from Rhode Island, others from Connecticut. WSP needs to come north more often... WAY more often.
Extended versions of "DO WHAT YOU LIKE" & "1 x 1" were introspective, if not mind-altering! "GOODPEOPLE" & "TIMEZONES" had every hip shaking. That was fun, let`s do it again!
