Reviews for Widespread Panic: 3/28/2007 Uptown Theater, Kansas City, MO

All i can say is that panic deals well with all the curve balls
that have been thrown their way. They seem to hit home runs show
after show and keep pushing on no matter what. As for Jimmy Herring, what a transition after the first few shows! It sure did not take him much time to blend his unique style and talent and form the good chemistry onstage with the rest of the band. The shows were incredible and i never can get enough. keep pushin on.

Flew in from SD to visit friends and party with Panic. And oh what a party it was!! Both shows were outstanding. I watched Jimmy Herring play years ago in NY with a band called "Jazz is Dead" and thought he was great then. Now, the guy is simply amazing. You can see that JB and Schools love playing with him. Amazing crowd and band energy. Killer venue! Had a blast with all folks hanging lower left on floor both nights. Thanks Damien for running the "party bus" Good luck with the new establishment!

Flew in from Seattle for these two incredible shows, purely magical. Both nights were off the hook, second night made it for me, literally had tears, of joy, after that first set. Can`t wait to be back in KC for another show, thanks for a good time.

wow....two nights of Panic bliss.

i would be hard pressed to decide a better show of the 2, but am seriously still blown away at how much Jimmy fits into the sound. I still praise George for helping to keep this band afloat and running. he did a hard job when the bands future depended on it and we all owe him a ton of gratitude, IMO. however, he did his own signature solos and didnt tap into that houser sound that is so important to many of these songs.

Jimmy on the other hand, is able to slip right into the mix and just play. his soft subtle approach and professionalism helps put the sound back on track. he nails the solos and floats effortlessly back into the verse/chorus. there were times at both shows where i found myself screaming, smiling and laughing out loud because of the unity, trust and intensity onstage and the music it garnished. i haven`t felt that at a Panic show in years.

Made the drive from Colorado to see both shows...the 28th was by far one of the sickest shows I`ve been to. Not only was the energy surging through those dancing in the crowd, but it was flowing freely on stage as the band made faces at each other, joked around, and just had a positive attitude. By the encore, I was blown away with how great of a show it had been and it still wasn`t over yet. They were there to do what they do best...play music and rock hard.
