Camp Bisco 2016: Day Three.
As E.S.G. says "We are going live up in this bitch". I will be writing this review as I listen to each of the three sets from the last day of Camp Bisco 2016.
Set One: Excellent first set. In fact you really couldn't ask for a better start. "Pygmy Twylyte" is nearly always great, as has been the recent "Humuhumnukunukuapuaa", and a stunning "Viola Lee Blues" followed by "Shelby Rose". This might be the best set of Camp Bisco.
Set Two: A hell of a set two! Couple of nice longer pieces before a melody of "Aceetobee" with splices of Men At Work (I could have done without that one) along with my all time favorite Grand Master Flash song "White Lines" mixed in.
Set Three: Another killer set! Making this easily one of the two or three best shows this year. But damn this show is long! Altogether something like 3 hours and 45 minutes. This set is actually divided into two parts do to a looming thunderstorm with the band ending "Cyclone" and bringing it right back on cue for the second half. Amazing band. Of course "Basis for a Day" is the centerpiece for the second half, and an amazing journey it is. This is one to pay for, a whole years worth a listening on this recording.
