While Reggae may be my favorite genre, jamband vibes are in the mix in a big way, particularly Dead incarnations with Phil & his various recruits usually delivering the best music you can hear anywhere. The series of shows honoring Phil's 70th Bday are outstanding examples. While the 3/15 actual birthday show is the top download, I just want to let everybody know that they should take a listen to the 3/18 and 3/19 shows. I think you may agree that these are two of Phil's best shows ever - certainly top 10 contenders. Besides the awesome jamming and great mix, Barry Sless on pedal steel just knocks it out of the park. I hope Phil will bring Barry back often!
