Overall, the atmosphere of this show was unparalleled. The guys were in great spirits, and the tunes just flowed. This was my first time seeing cheese in FLA and i was not disapointed. Big props to the guys along with the whole Gainsville crew for making this a very memorable experience. One of my top three incidents for sure. quality sets all the way around. Much love to the Gainsville jam scene. The Cheddar Was Sharp!!!

I didn`t see the Florida run, which I`m going to look back on in life as a huge mistake! But I have listened to the live recordings and the band is on fire!
With the recent announcement of Billy`s departure, I hope you`ll allow me to share (more than a) few words about what String Cheese has meant to me.
First, I’d like to personally thank String Cheese for all being great musicians, masters at your instruments, and playing as one, as only can happen after years and years of hard, behind-the-scenes work,…. practice, practice, practice.. And then to be a team and go out and perform… the live performance, electric, creating synergy between band members integrated as one.. And audience… spiraling upwards to the heavens and stars..Those moments of being present to the moment. Livin’…Sci, your live performances made me feel alive again, and wait (impatiently) in anticipation for the next incident…Just call it String Cheese mind control! Love it!
Thank you for creating a community I feel in harmony with… for the first time ever in my life. Even when I traveled to see SCI alone, I knew I’d run into friends I`d previously met on the road. Having a good time and being good to one another, fellow human beings. Great energy. Great vibe. Good karma.
I’d like to personally thank each band member for…. Billy – for making me feel like a kid at 41. Best of luck perusing your dreams. I have this feelin’ that you’ll be the best at whatever you choose to do. Keith – for being a rock-solid foundation Kyle – for krazy kow suits and sparkly shirts. And generating those sounds that make me think there’s shit flying around the venue Michael – for mastery over multiple instruments, and the 1 Elastic Mystic performance that I experienced in 2003, that was… well… mystical of course! Jason – for that never ending, ear-to-ear smile And Travis – for being the energizer Travis, keep going and going and.…Best of luck with Zilla and Eoto. And, being a driving force behind Conscious Alliance, helping those less fortunate than we are
I also have to thank Joe Verdone – my mountain brother, my life mentor turning me onto this band back in 2002… and to 24 (and counting) shows together
And I can’t wait to the Fox in Atlanta Thanksgiving week, with my 2 best buds in the world… JV and Marmot, I love you guys!
And lastly, to Billy. It’s certainly with mixed emotions, but we all wish you best of luck pursuing your passion…their can be only 1 best picker in the business. Go get it!

From the first time i heard the Incident, i was hooked. My first live show was at the band shell, and now i`ve seen they guys all over the country. This show, now goes to my top ten. Started out mellow, but by the second set, it started with the magic and didn`t stop till the last note resonated off the buildings. Great show, hella set. aoxomoxoa all the way!

We took our 5 year old to his 5th Cheese show and had a great time. We were front row center against the barrier and jammed our asses off. We got our first live Johnny Cash - something that Billy was teasing early on in the show. The Blondie tease during the encore was a present as well.
Other observations: * The band came out looking physically tired - Tampa, Pompano, Gainesville in three nights is a grind - but the faked me out as they were on and full of energy.
* Billy`s marathon during the second set where he ran and ran and ran was a riot.
* To the dude that jumped on the stage to snag the herb - don`t smoke it, its sage!
* Thanks to Billy for getting the freak standing on the barrier and gesturing to Keith & Billy yanked out of the front row. He was enjoying himself a bit too much.
* Glowstick wars are cool but I swear, they are going to take a band member`s eye out.
* Is there any better place to see these guys than on a college campus at a free show??
To top it off, they passed out backstage passes to a bunch of us up front and were able to meet up with Kang, Travis, Jason, Billy and Keith after the show. They all took pictures, autographed the backstage pass and the Circle of Life frog shirt our son was wearing. Incredible hosts these guys are and to think, they do it all for us!
While we liked the 10/7 Asheville jam better, this is the best Incident ever - definitely the highlight of our 5 year old`s life as he cannot stop talking about meeting the band and seeing a great show.
