Reviews for Widespread Panic: 10/30/2006 MGM Grand Garden, Las Vegas, NV

My B-Day 10-30-75! What a damn B-day present!!! I hit 31 to win $180 on the roulette table on my last bet (I had no more money left). The pit boss says "Just gonna hit and run?" to my reply, "Hell ya, I`ve gotta get to the Panic show!" Glad I didn`t stay to gamble. I`m an old deadhead, but I must admit this show had the best atmosphere and music I`ve ever been part of. It was magical. The costumes, the vibe, the musical intensity, and the choice of set list were hot! Awesome covers. Beautiful "Morning Dew". Best encore I`ve ever seen. The spontaneous gathering of WSP fans dancing to "Superstitious" in front of MGM`s Rouge nightclub after the show was a blast. I hope this show is released on DVD!

I have only one more thing to say. I hope that Britain and Elinor form Atlanta, GA read this forum because they were the most fun at the show and I would like to be able to get a hold of them again. If they do read this email me at a_newlander@hotmail.com. We were in section L15 and had an awesome time with the two of you. Would love to keep in touch.

I agree with every review that has been given. I was wearing my diner shirt and heard the absolute best ever. I have been waiting for my pilgrims since Mikey and this was the best since Mikey. I approaching 90 shows and this was by far in the TOP 5; if not just the best ever. My first time seeing Jimmy Herring and he definately is Panic`s sound and Mikey was there the whole night. Words can`t explain the energy, crowd, and spirit. All the old goodies and new goodies...unbelievable!!! I love you all and let Panic rock on!!

Great show! Songs I never knew they played and some of the ol faithfulls. Best "Diner" ever recorded. Listen to JB`s adlib at the end - priceless. Panic is ,by far, the best thing going. They have found their sound again, and Herring is the f`in man. Roll on!

Fantastic show!.....you should put out a DVD of the show and try to capture(just try and get close) the show, the music, the interplay among the band and with the audience. No words for what went down will do it justice. Best of Vegoose weekend, my personal best WP, and in the top 5 of any shows I have ever attended(and that number gets way, way up there as you climb towards the big 50!)

I must say that the MGM show, without a doubt, was the sickest show I have been to out of 60! Jimmy Herring is a perfect fit for the band. It is like seeing the boys for the first time. New, fresh, and mind-blowing. Definitely the highlight for my Vegoose weekend.
