Rockdale & Red Bird (6/29/2022 9:14:54 AM)
I know trey and father John misty dropping in for a visit is the headline but Rockdale and RedBird had jams that left radio city and soared above the New York skyline and returned to the stage to come in for a perfect landing.

A Massive Entry in Goose History (6/29/2022 9:14:28 AM)
I’ll start by saying that I do not consider myself a fan of Trey or Phish. For many this night was special because of the special guest(s), and it was for me too. But it was already among the best of the 19 Goose shows I’ve seen by the time the finished this beast Silver Rising to start set 3. My favorite part of Trey’s sit in wasn’t his playing, it was the impact his presence had on the band and crowd energy. The room was buzzing and it was a treat.
This is perhaps the best version of Atlas Dogs so far. The new arrangement has been controversial among fans, but I’ve come around to prefer it and I think acoustic really lets the new version shine. Moonrise debut also fit well in the acoustic set. Strong covers in this set. Flodown seemed ill-fitting here, but the return of Elmeg elevated this short set with a grand finish.
Rockdale had a great jam as did this monster Red Bird. Novel with Misty was a treat and Creatures was a major set highlight.
It’s hard to overstate how special set 3 was. Again, I’m not a Trey guy, but in 19 shows I’ve never seen this band glowing they way were here. Hungersite has reached the stratosphere. This set felt like a festival set with Goose really flexing the new and old fan favorites.
Bravo and THANK YOU Goose!
