I love this band very much. It was pure Dead Magick with Mayer playing to his family on It Hurts Me Too and the band going to some amazing destinations in 2nd set improv. Jay Lane low key MVP at this show. He is in it to The Bone. The slowly building rain as the night climaxed was synchonously vibey like nothing I've ever quite experienced before at a concert. Great crowd where we were. People getting the Soul. Much Love

For those of us that just see the DC show every year, would appreciate one non-political show. Always Throwing Stones., although a good version……just ready for some non politics. (Like Jerry would have liked). :)

Regardless of your political views and song preferences, there’s no denying the band came out firing on all cylinders in the aftermath of the cancelled Saratoga show. Bob was fired up giving the suits in DC a piece of his mind, and John was playing from the depths of his heavy heart. The breakdown in Throwing Stones was deep and the highlight of the first set for me… then came the 2nd set. Not to put it lightly, everything was played to perfection. Sugaree was a roundhouse kick of passion with a blistering solo from John, Playin>UJB>Terrapin has some of the finest improv I’ve heard from them, and the rest is just the icing on an already delicious and heady cake. Leaving the pavilion at the end BMR and walking into the downpour on the lawn was an unexpectedly cathartic experience; releasing all my stress during the show and having the rain wash it all away was something I didn’t know I needed. Please don’t take this show for granted, it’s one for the soul.

absolutely solid show. first set looked like John was fighting his emotions (rightfully so), but all the boys came out swinging that second set. stella blue in the pouring rain was a religious experience
