Wow, so many feelings expressed across the worlwide web about our beloved sci! Lets first recognize that this may very well have been OUR last new years together! Each and everyone of us is entitled to our own opinions...we all got assholes right....I for one like it when people can truly admit that their favorite band played a mediocre show, but also say that they made the most of it. It should be o.k for us to be critical of anything that we invest so much in. I don`t care if you`ve been around cheese for 10 shows in the past 10 years, or 80 shows in the last 3 yrs; it was plain to see that sat and sun were 2 different shows and also different in vibe/crowd/alignment of the stars.... who f`n knows, but second set sat night was for US! Sun was full of emotion and a raging ass party!!!!!!...although a little predictable(Rolloverrrrrrrr) again?...I rolled over to the bar for a stiff drink w/ a brother on new years!!!....and yet unpredictable: "rockit", "startrek", "ziggy", "Rocket man", etc.... Another thing; were has all our show etiquite gone? A crowded venue can be a glorious menagerie of flowing limbs, bobbing heads, swirling capes, spinning hoops etc. etc. etc.... but new years eve was greeted w/ heavy tromping bodies bashing through groups of dancers with no abandonment. When passing through dance circles; groove on through w/ body nsync and rhythm of said circle. Please do not fill said dance space with placid stiff staring off into space body!!!! Personally speaking, sun night found our group of 10 friends of cheese trying to dance along the right side of the sound board through various stampedes throughout the night. Various vertically challenged friends were stepped on and over by people in a hurry to go forward and shove more and more bodies into literally no space! As ASTRONUT said people were "claiming" space... perhaps dancing in one spot throughout a show constitues "claiming", but we were definitely catching elbows and body checks. Some people apologized(very cheese like), some people didn`t(very uncheese like).... WHATEVER.... we knew this was new years and continued to PARTY!!! If you held your ground and boogied, or didn`t get tripped out over it; after a while it thinned out a little. I for one thought the boys had a hard time finding and sustaining that magical cheese flow throughout the night. Maybe I was looking for that last new years cheese bliss, but after they went off I went up to my buddy and said "you think they`ll give us more"? He said "turn around, they`re clearing the stage". Right then, my heart dropped and I realized tha this was the last sci new years. And I can honestly say the show was o.k musically, but gets 5 stars for a family filled new years to remember!!!!!! See you at the fillmore!!! Let it snow Let it snow Let it snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

great show, great new years. the rollover, bassnectar jam and rocket man were sick. the energy in the crowd was great, and the new years parade was probably the best parade i have seen cheese do.

Let`s just say this. I love Cheese and Sector Nine, and if you weren`t in Hot-lanta for Sector Nine on new years than you missed out.

Just downloaded the show. Wasn`t there but i have to say i liked it. I read alot of bad reviews while downloading the show, and i was i bit apprehensive, but i personally thought the show was good and was probably fun to be at. The highlights i thought was Rocket Man, James brown teahouse-> Sex machine -> James Brown`s Teahouse, the Star Trek Theme going into new years, The Dub Jam was sick, the Flying West Jam was cool, and the Bumpin` reel was cool.
Is it worth 10 or 12 bucks to download? - Yes. Was it a high Energy show? it didn`t pick up on the recording, so i can`t say. It Wasn`t your standard Cheese show, but i what i like about it was the diversity, a little bit of something for everybody the psych heads, the ravers, the rock n rollers, and the short little bit of Hip Hop. Overall because i didn`t pick up on the energy. I think the show deserves a 3.5 - 4 out 5. It wasn`t a waste of my money. Thank You SCI

Let`s face it night one was for the fans night two brought in the riff raff, which did bring me down at some points because they were quite negative to be around..... I had two girls in front of me lay down a blanket "claiming" their territory and pushing me and my friends around and out of the space... All very silly and uncheese like. It`s sad that New Years was the way it was. I don`t think it`s San Fran or New Years. I think it was the kids drawn in by other attractrions... Last year only one bathroom was open this year six were open. going to show you that the event has grown. The crowd has changed. But I`ll always remember cheese the way they were!! They`ll still always put on a good show regardless of the negativity some people put out there. Happy Happy New Year everyone. See you at Winter Carnival....

I do have to admit, the more I hear this show, the more I love it. They really picked it up at Miss browns, and it really turned out to be an awesome show. So props to cheese for efforts. They always give us a few good surprises.

Dzinny, We didn`t approach it with negativity, it was negativity that drove us away. I`m guessing with an attitude like that, you were probably the driving force behind us when my wife was pushed down the stairs. This was our 5th Cheese show this year alone, and all other experiences were amazing. The Vegoose night show and the salt air show were beyond words. I don`t know if it`s just the san francisco crowd, the new year or the departure of Billy but you fans ruined a good show.
