Okay, so I'm trying to find the words. There's a certain subset of shows I hold in the highest esteem. Life-changing musical experiences. These would include finally seeing Genesis in 2007 at the Palace of Auburn Hills; my run of Gov't Mule shows in Ohio in 2008-2009; The Allman Brothers at Pine Knob in 2005; Bob Dylan at my Alma Mater in 2007 (second row); The Dead in Rosemont in 2009; Umphrey's in Royal Oak in 2009 and other shows from them like Kalamazoo 2013, Detroit 2014, and Interlochen 2012. I began following Goose online on 2023, and was so stupid busy with work I didn't even know they came to Detroit that year until after it was over. *sad face* I planned to go in 2024, didn't work out. When Grand Rapids was announced, I outside planned to go, but didn't think it would happen. Well, I made the first two. incredible. Sterling Heights, incredible. So much so, I had to be in Columbus. Didn't even plan for it. in a venue which feels like a big backyard party, Goose dropped two of the best sets of live music I've seen. it was pure magic. Gave me chills, and maybe someone was chopping onions?? Honk!
