The sun was dropping in the lot, a Blue Indian flag waving while everyone stood around Wondering how long the night would go. We were Travelin’ Light, sharing Ribs and Whiskey and a cold Tall Boy, asking Who Do You Belong To as the Love Tractor headlights cut through the haze. When the band hit, it thundered like a Big Wooly Mammoth, pure King Baby confidence, Disco lights spinning while War Pigs stomped through the amps. I got Paranoid for a second, Down in a Hole near the back, Sitting In Limbo at my All Time Low, but the music said Don’t Be Denied. Someone shouted Tie Your Shoes as the floor shook, and suddenly we were Ride Me High, Fishing for rhythm, turning every chorus into a Porch Song. At the end, We Walk Each Other Home, hoarse and glowing—I Can See Clearly Now, lifting a cup: May Your Glass Be Filled, because Ain’t Life Grand?
