I honestly hope they take some constructive criticism from this show. I would say 6/10 stars. Not a bad show, but maybe it’s the songs from this newer album I’m not jiving with. Seems to be a slow set and bigger venue that maybe brought some new challenges. Will see how this next spring run goes!

Below. The pause for applause is referring to Empress, I realize my thoughts weren't clarified there. See you all at the 930!

I have to agree with John; I had fun, and enjoyed seeing my friends, but this was far and wide the least exciting Goose show I've been to, musically speaking. Sound was a bit underpar and I think it had a lot to do with size of the venue. Definetely not an A+ night for execution; Linus was nostalgic, and Yeti was fun. Fast Echo arrangement is fun to hear at that pace, but just ok. the pause for applause felt a bit egoic and reaching for the actual energy at the moment, there were a few very meandering jams that never seemed to take flight, or were overexecuted so early to the point where they were no longer welcome by their end... The 'transition' into Rosewood out of Redbird was almost completely dissolved and muddled. Rosewood is such an excellent composition on it's own...I feel like if they're not actually going to jam into the next composition, I'd rather hear it finish strong... Again the sound was just not well structured for the venue and some of this new material is just very under calibre for them musically, imvho. They're nothing remotely close to the calibre of tunes delivered last Goosemas... Set 3 just felt like I was in slow motion, and felt like a different band completely with respects to emphasis and musical approach than the band I saw @ Fred. I just felt like they were playing around eachother at points. Opinions on the new material aside, it was an off night; I've seen this band play MUCH much better, and very much look forward to that again. Maybe Ben was just nervous about the proposal. Hoping DC redeems this one. ??

Fun show 3rd set was about 20 minutes too short for my liking, could have split up the slow jams at the end as well and it would have been more impactful

Stop playing so ready. Play SLOW ready. The slower pacing fits the song much better.

Quite the dance party!

This show doesn’t sound as good as other Goose shows on Nug’s. I watched the stream and the boys didn’t seem to be firing on all cylinders.

really loved the show! set 3 was absolutely beautiful. to hear dripfield live FTP was such a treat. been waiting 2 years to hear arcadia live and it was quite a heater!! love love love the direction goose is going towards. i look forward to hearing more like this show. i agree with what was mentioned earlier - this experimental set list was super fun and each song was unexpected. really kept us on edge all night! had a blast, keep it coming!!
