BEST THREE DAY RUN EVER. I’m very disappointed that I can not make the final shows at Red Rocks, but I knew what happens when the boys get in deep in the woods for a hoedown. Luckily I was right on target and the boys brought it harder than ever as they delivered all three nights at the BIG SUMMER CLASSIC. With a loose time table, no noise ordinances, or other venue distraction to deal with all the boys had to do was to get there and play for the faithful. That said the hard cores that made the day + long trip to the Africa Hot CAMP ZOE were treated to a plethora of tasty tunes in a fantastic setting! There were fine musical collaborations all weekend and there was a great vibe everywhere. Things just ran smooth like the river running thought the camp grounds. The sound system for once cooperated and stopped that annoying buzz that has plagued so many of shows (seriously this was the most annoying part of the final tour) and lighting guy certainly found what he was looking for before it all started.
I LOVED hearing Sittin On Top Of The World as my last song because that is exactly how THE STRING CHEESE INCIDENT makes me feel when it all working together. Like someone said below I will miss this sound because nothing is like it. The songs words and music create a sound that has a life of its’ own and hearing it deep in the woods on the bands terms was the way to go out BIG! REALLY BIG!
Thanks again for all the love and fun the band has brought me over the years. Like the words say in Rhythm Of The Road “ if we can keep the faith things will work out in time” so we can do it again and again!
Peace well wishes to band and all my friends on the road.

Damn.............that`s all I can say. Shanty, Levee, Seventh Step, Desert Dawn, Yo Se, Pirates, Black Market, Howard, Looking Glass, Galactic, Steam Powered Aeroplane, Cottonmouth, Wake Up, Climb, Johnny Cash......ouch. This may be the best 3 day run ever. It hurts to know that I missed these shows. Seriously, I`m hurting. Why did they save all of the fatties for Camp Zoe? If I knew they were going to play these songs, I would have skipped Horning`s and paid top dollar to see these shows.

What a great weekend, I think the only real disappointment was the encore on Sunday night. I was just scratching my head after that. Send me out on a rager!

Not much I can say about this set...... was the shit when i was there... but not so great when i look back at it... deffeiently not nearly as good as the other night sfor sure....e 5 minute galactic, 12 minute shantytown... whast up with that... And also by far the weakest encore they could have given zoe for the last night there.... man o man.... left the stage disapointed after that one... but not the other nights.... was good to hear come as you are, as i have been waiting a while to hear that one.... highlights are the song was when the leaves break.. cottonmouth was the shit and hte looking glass was smoking.... was a big fan of the second set.. could have went without seeinf IIWII and Desert Dawn... figured they would ahev through in a texas or jellyfish there insetd of one of thoese... Desert Dawn was a weak set ender.... and of course piece of mine.... no one ever wants to hear that song... well good job boys.... the festival was awesom... will never forget it at all
