Wasn`t in Kentucky so first show with Sam. Didn`t know what to expect but was very impressed with the energy brought by the band in the absence of George.Disco is always a fun opener, good to get a Tall Boy early to et the crowd moving. Other highlights in the first set were definately Travelin Man and Walkin`. After a pretty long set break they came out for a rockin second set.First three songs had a lot of energy and the Sleeping Man with Vic Chesnutt was the highlight of the show, full of energy. The drums were nice and long, and Dave and JoJo came out first and layed down some bombs.Thought the set might end after Papas Home but was happy to hear Love Tractor, the crowd was going nuts. Nice encore with a strong Solid Rock and an always fun ALG. All in all, I was very happy with this show, especially second set, and i recomend it to all.

Wow - excellent show. Not sure what all went down, but not having George there was incredible. It came close to those many shows I saw from 1996 - 2001. Sam Rocks & I just wish he could get a chance. Lucky for me I`ll be in Chi-town next weekend!! Thanks boys for turning it up a notch after Gmac left!!

I never miss a Merriweather show. I knew it would be interesting, but instead it was sick. No George, and the music and chemistry was as good, if not better than it`s ever been.

And Vic Chestnutt did not play guitar during Sleeping Man (sorry, forgot to include that above).

Great show esp. considering all the circumstances. YGY, Machine, and Barstools were the highlights for me.
Even though this page says otherwise, Sam Holt did not play on the encore songs.
