4/3/85
This is just end to end magic. From the frenetic energy that bursts out of the gates with that Set One opener. Hell in a Bucket. Just absorb it. Let the scene get set. Let that uptempo jive take a hold of your hand because you're going on a journey, and it's about to change your life man.
Sugaree feels smooth. It's up there for me, between those three incredible May '77 performances, Pembroke, Atlanta and Hartford. Just a sweet, sweet performance. Delivered with this easy soul and heavy spirit.
From Me and My Uncle, through Mexicali Blues and Ramble on Rose everything just feels tight. Precise.
Down in the Bottom. Woah. This is up there with 11/3/84 for me man.
And Row Jimmy...driver.
Second Set starts out easy, with a Terrapin Station that just launches. And we stay high. Until Day Job brings us down. Our spirit returning to our dancing bodies baby...and we stay dancing.
Keep your day job, but PlayDead pays x
