I remember hearing Jerry talking about the release of WB Dead albums when CD started to take off. He hit it hard that there's a relationship between sound, transfer and the regret that musicians feel sometimes when they listen over a back catalogue. Like what they could have done.
In reality most musicians have those aspirations but on the back of those aspirations are limitations. They lack the visiton, the skill, the chops.
