I've probably listened to this show more than any other dead show. I just love it.And it's nice to hear a mastered version even though the boards that have circulated forever are super nice. Great mix. Do 8-18-91 please! We need this whole run!

Amazing show! Scarlet>Victim>Fire sounds incredible with Jerry utilizing his MIDI. That tech adds so much texture. The mix was crisp. I could hear everything! I also enjoyed hearing both Bruce and Vince during this transition period.

This show is an absolute gem. 90s shows are generally not my favorites but this is a huge exception. Bruce's playing is phenomenal. The sound quality is unreal!

Got my first and only Jerry “Dark Star”also first shows in the Bay area. Worth the trip from Phoenix, Arizona .

What a show! First set dark star, that scarlet fire with a Crime! Love Bruce’s grand piano sound, Keith feels in the 90’s. And this sound quality is erotic

This show illustrates that the boys could still bring tremendous energy and creativity in the post-Brent era! I think this is one of only two times the Dead played Scarlet > Victim > Fire, and the transition both into and out of Victim was smooth smooth smooth. The Playing was also interesting and stripped down: it’s a long melodic instrumental jam and then reprise lyrics. Cool take on the song. First set Dark Star. Plus a beautiful Standing on the Moon. Wow! Great show. I’m glad this was one of the early Drops for the new app!

Shoreline Amphitheatre — 8/16/91 Opening night of a three-show Shoreline run, and the boys torched the playbook. A rare mid-set "Dark Star" lands out of nowhere and slams into "Promised Land" to close Set One — a stunner. Set Two dives straight into the deep end: a dark, psychedelic "Scarlet > Victim > Fire" with Bruce Hornsby leaning hard on the piano, then a heavy "Standing on the Moon" out of Space grounds the back half. Unpredictable. Powerhouse. Peak '91.
