Cotter has evolved into one of the bands strongest weapons. Since Kris Myers stepped back from UM, Cotter is far and away the best drummer in the scene right now. His power and rock solid groove is lifting them above what they've previously been able to accomplish. His skills and techniques are pushing everyone forward. This tour was fantastic, and I can't wait for Europe!!

Whaddup Cotter.. Can remain quiet no longer. Did Birm, both Nolas, and couch tour the rest. Cotter’s playing has taken a huge step backward. Second half of this Wysteria, band trying to go slow/explore and he keeps pounding away like a marching band.. Just not in sync.. this whole tour he’s up front in the mix, yet playing highly repetitive, way too fast rhythms affecting overall jam flow. Rick is forced to play faster and faster, relegated to predictable shredding solos that lack feel and creativity, all the while drowning on Peter far too often.. the music needs room to breathe, to expand and withdraw, impossible with his metronome playing. I feel like I’m being assaulted from the stage, not the best version of improvisational jam music.. More space, less notes.. I want to to feel the music, not be overwhelmed
