Absolutely insane show from start to finish. JB just keeps sounding better, and that slide…?? Love this band so much.

Straight heat from the jump! The Fox handled the mayhem well. Bring on STL!

All around nasty run this year. Top notch rock and MFin roll. Nonstop. Keep it coming to wheels fucking fall off.

Came firing out of the gates which I think threw a lot of folks off when JB sat down with an acoustic. Every set was bookended with absolute heat and the band was relentless the entire night. I love this fucking band.

I have been seeing these boys regularly for 28 years. This was by far the best New Year’s show yet. Normally the first set is a little more subdued, and acoustically oriented on NYE. JB always sits down and he played acoustic guitars, but as u will hear there was nothing slow and the first set completely rocked. “I’ll sleep When I’m Dead” is a short song but what a great tune that goes immediately into “Climbto Safety” before the first set ends. They continue to up their game and then each show starts to sound better than the previous performance. JB’s vocals r pure solid gold and he has a way of warming u up to some of their oldest songs that you’ve heard many times before but now they just sound better. It also seems like they wanted to do something a little different this year because each night there was hardly a break in the music and sometimes there was never a break between songs in the set. So they come out with a vengeance, that never dies down. This year they also played almost as many cover songs as they do on Halloween. But it’s the light show in the ambience as the fox theater that make their runs there special. I had a friend in the fourth row behind the pit that came up to the balcony each night after the first set because the light was better and the sound is better. What always pleases me is the diversity in the fan base from senior citizens too many that are just out of college. The security and EMS personnel Work these shows in particular, because they know this band well and want to work these shows bc they love their music as much as folks that purchased tickets. And they have been playing at the Fox so long and for so many shows that they really do welcome them there in a special way. And the third set is always played right after the New Year’s Eve countdown. So what about 1:30 AM we’ve been there a long time, and it went by in the blink of an eye. They have always covered the doors and the who. But it seems like they were put on the shelf for at least 25 years, so it was nice to hear them get back to their old roots as they ripped soul kitchen into roadhouse blues the first night, and they used to play won’t get fooled again but now they replaced it with my generation along with elements front over the loudspeakers after the show ended.
