One of the all-time great shows. Legendary.... first set the All Fall Down... 2nd. Loved the Vamp into Tentacle Dragon... 3rd set a monster with that over the top Creek. Top 5 best ever, right thru to that whopping Little Maggie to take us home... Happy 2023. BMFS.

Both nights were amazing..billy just gets more awesome with every show . I thought the Halloween shows were excellent but the New year shows ..wow a must listen too

Still on a high from this weekend. This show has some of the best energy in the crowd I’ve ever felt, West Dakota Rose, All Fall Down, and End of the Rainbow may be some of their best renditions yet. A ton of great bluegrass covers too. Thanks for the great weekend Billy and the boys!

The ‘22 NYE run represented my 39th and 40th time seeing the band since May of ‘18. Right when I think they’ve sonically plateaued, they blow my mind and raise the level. Whether it’s “newer” instrumentals like West Dak Rose, or layering loops on Spacegrass like in ‘Creek, All Fall Down or Hwy Hyp, the band is still proving they have fresh ideas and plenty of room to keep finding their trademark sound and building on it. If this run serves as a snapshot of where they intend on taking their music, we’re all in for a promising ‘23. See you all on the road!

Only my second BMFS show ever, and it kicked ass!!!!! The energy in that room was absolutely unreal from the moment Billy and the boys stepped out. First set’s highlight for me was Reuben’s Train, there was so much energy in the air after that one. Set two highlighted by Freeborn and End of the Rainbow, as well as everyone getting their last smokes and drinks in before the New Year. What can I say about that Creek, absolute bliss to be in that room at that moment in time, sent my soul straight up in the air. Banger show, and will be back for this run next year!!!

Part two to an EPIC run at the UNO Lakefront Arena. Thinkin they’d have a hard time topping the previous nights explosion, but they sure did. What a way to close out a extraordinary year of barn burning shows. Great energy throughout the night, a 3 set show for the ages. See you in Mobile!!!
