First set is a slowed down funk fest. Started a few dance groups in the lawn especially during West LA. Was actually my first dead and co show, made for a very special start. Then set 2 shut the place down, got stubbed down into close seats Oteil side… almost as if that was his prompting for an insane solo during Eyes. Band was locked in, and the crowd knew it. The people next to us down close danced with me the whole rest of the show. Finally we get to the Ripple encore, like the most perfect placement for that ever. To top it off even better i saw the acoustic guitars as they came on and called it, the lady next to me said that she would cry if it was a ripple encore and ill be damned she shed a tear. Brilliant show, even more brilliant audience. Worth every second of a re play!
