So this was a big deal for me, was bummed about the FL shows and had to go about this mission in the rain solo, however once I got onto the lot and into the show i was with family. That TLEO was nothing short of epic. Bobby and the boys were jamin so hard, there was no room left for an encore. NFA?????

First live show in over 3 years. Felt good to be back. Decent show. I think Mickey’s BlasterBeam is so deep and loud that it’s screwing with the EQ from the rest of the show, however. The volume seems pretty low.

to fall tour*

weak second set…worst I’ve seen by them, only seven times, but something was off besides drums which was actually one of the best I’ve seen….John has been all about the first set all summer and that seems to have carried over not fall tour….feels like he wants to try different songs in set two rather than the usual set two fare

This was my first Dead show in any of their formations and it was absolutely incredible. I've seen Phish 17 or 18 times and this show was right there with the North Charleston show I was in the pit for when they debuted Petrichor, which is probably my favorite phish show i've been to. If I had a time machine to go to one place in history, it would be to see follow Jerry and the gang for entire tour, then I'd go tell my younger self all of the back to the future 2 type advice. Never listened to John Mayer before but Bob Weir is the bee's knees; I am completely hooked now on The Dead. Spent four hours last night reading all the related wikipedias I could find and was late to work today... boss was actually cool with it since he is a "retired" Dead fan (I still have to make up the hours though). Will absolutely be seeing them again as soon as possible. Maybe I had too much too fast...

Great show!!!! Finally got into the lot and into the lawn during Ramble. Found a spot to post for the show, and wow what a show. The China Cat > Rider was incredible! There was a screen above the stage…it had these really trippy visuals that seemed to morph into animals…a frog morphed into a mouse that morphed into a lion that morphed into a snake that morphed into John Mayer’s shirt that morphed into a 3D sphere….but they were all looking right at you, but in friendly and kind ways. Listen to the crowd erupt and shake the ground as the whole amphitheatre in unison wished to be a headlight on that northbound train during Rider! They had this crazy light that made it feel like a train coming right at you at the same time. I really loved the way they used the screens to make it look like the wall of sound was behind them! There are rumors that show was planned to have US Blues as an encore…unfortunately that didn’t happen because of the time…the venue is in a residential area and had a noise ordinance, so there was a hard end a couple of minutes past 11pm. Even though there was no encore, the band played their hearts out!!! I loved every minute.

From takeoff to landing the Band was fantastic. Setlist filled the place with dancing and smiles. Jeff MVP last night. Bobby is on fire this tour snd i am so grateful to experience this magic for 33 years ! ??
