Thank you, Billy Strings. Thank you Billy, Royal, and Jared. There's no way you could've known, but my dear friend Dave is laying his his son Colin to rest today. Something no father should ever have to do. It's in these darkest of times that I always seek solace and inspiration in music. Especially live music. Over the past year, yours has been a frequent source of salvation, love and joy...in spite of many dark days. I can't imagine what inspired this setlist, but it's an absolutely perfect soundtrack for a celebration of a beautiful life cut far too short. Thank you, Billy Strings, Billy, Royal, Jared, and everybody else who made this show happen. Your music matters. Your music is love. And your music can help heal even the deepest of wounds. I love you and I'm so grateful to have you in my life.

Very, very solid show. The band’s playing is as tight as I’ve heard it. First set is so well composed. The pace and song selection is on point. Highlight for me is Cocaine Blues > Clinch Mountain Backstep. Second set does justice to the Dead. Overall a very beautiful homage. A perfect blend of new and old. Well played guys!
