Blown away is all I can say. I`ve had a couple of opportunities to see the Cheese and for some reason I never made it out until now. This was my first show and I`m kicking myself for not making it to the others. Unfortunately I only caught a song and a half of the first set do to a brain fart I had earlier that evening, but the second set totally brought me out of my momentary feelings of frustration. (Which came back after I downloaded the show and played it back. Impressions> The Coal Train Jam > Impressions > Sittin on Top of the World...Aaaaaagh! Good thing I didn`t know that was how they wrapped.)
The Palace is a great venue and talk about high energy! There wasn`t a lot of people at the show, but the Palace was groovin and the band was feeling it too. Like I said this was my first show, but I don`t imagine Billy sets his guitar on the stage floor and dances/runs in place and around the stage, several times, like a kid after an ice cream truck to often. This show was a blast! I loved the way it meandered in and out of the familiar standards and into the long deep grooves. Loved there version of the Joker, nice lyric adaptations, Shine, Jellyfish, and Tamba was a great start to the encore. Can`t wait to see them again. String Cheese thank you and please come again!
