One of my favorite darkstars. Starts off in a traditional way. Then Jerry starts leading the song with n a few different directions with some nice little rifts. Bobby jumps in with a couple sugar mag notes hinting at a song change….nope. Jerry brings it back in and finally sets into a sweet upbeat little diddy

The best single CD in the bands catalog.

A gem. There’s a reason Dick picked this as #2. Sure 16 was his fave and that second frame is some hot tunage, but this just has that it. The dark star is can’t miss stuff. Great playing all the way through that will entertain the fans of 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s dead and let’s face it, very few pre 72 shows can say that.

Incredible, I’m from Indiana and saw them a couple times. I wish I would have just traveled one one state and heard this.

Ok then, well I bought this Dick's Picks sometime ago and for some reason I hardly ever play it. But what a sheer delight it is to listen to after a long hiatas, especially the sound of Jerry's guitar, which i think was his Gibson SG (custom or special) which was somehow stolen from what I heard. I come from N.Y.C. and witnessed many Fillmore East shows with the Dead and I find this particular show very special and very glad Dick, in his spacial wisdom released it, thanks very much. Would love to hear more of this show but it seems that this is the second set. Anyway to know if the first set is floating around somewhere? Love to hear from folks who witnessed this show in Columbus Ohio. By the way I was at the Hell's Angels sponsored show at the Anderson Theater in NYC and that was quite a scene with the invasion of a Philadelphia biker club battling it out with the Angels out front befoe the show, lasted five minutes then went inside a rundown Yiddish theater from another time, same vintage Dead as this show.
