What a pleasant suprise! I had given this Dave's Pick a miss when it was first released, as most of my preferred Dead listening comes from the '60-'70s. But this is a top-tier show, with both Bruce and Vince sharing keyboard duties. The first set is tight and snappy at an hour (the tuning jam into Jack Straw is a delight), and Set 2 ascends to heights the Dead got to less and less over time. 2.5 hours of late-era Dead at their best.

Oh now the boys are on full locked in everyone to the lifeboats here friends! Second set is one for the books. A stone cold raise the roof second set. Some gems in 91. And here is one of the best!

Amazing show, bittersweet and sort of the end of an era: last show before Bill Graham died, last truly great Boston run, last Bid You Goodnight ever. Hornsby was with them a few more times after but Jerry was never the same after summer 1991.

What s show! I remember it like it was yesterday... not a single dud in the first set, and the second set is a monster! The crowd was dialed in for Good Lovin'. And thinking about Jerry waving goodbye after the end of the sweetest double encore still gives me chills... 5 stars, no notes.
