A very average night for the Dead in early 1970 - not that there's anything wrong with that. This is a somewhat edited (originally to fit on one CD) show from an empty venue outside Portland they'd booked but failed to publicize. It was released primarily because it had never circulated before. So the band is pretty pro-forma, but since this the Dead they still hit moments of greatness: Dancing In The Street simply can't be played wrong in 1970, and Black Peter and Mason's Children are delights.
