What a joy. Jerry is so happy. Bobby is entirely in his element. And Mr. Hornsby brings life to it all

During those six shows (Cal Expo/Shoreline) the only repeat was Promised Land. Playin’ and Playin’ Reprise were played separate nights. Darkstar first night / first set but the second verse was never performed, yet the middle night had a Darkstar Jam to supplement the first night’s. Also note the unprecedented coda inspired by Bruce at the end of BIODTL.
All this was sandwiched twixt JGB on the Eel River before and at Squaw Valley after!

Awesome show. Last of a run of 6 shows in 7 days. 3 Cal Expo with a day off then 3 Shoreline. They did their wicked best at not repeating anything hence the slightly weird set list. But man those were the days. This was my last extended run of shows. We spent the next 2 weeks-ish in the Tahoe area with the Jerry band playing but never made it. Stayed at a semi-organized camp site with a bunch of other heads. Came home and found out I was going to be a dad! Amazing time.

This was such a wonderful day, beautiful San Francisco weather and an uplifting lot scene. But the show was so relaxed and good vibes flowed. You can hear it in their voices and especially with the interestingly exciting set list. The only standard song placement was the opener and Brokedown after a fantastic run of shows. Everything else felt like the best possible day at Shoreline.

This was a really nice bluesy show. Bruce Hornsby was fantastic on the keys. Really enjoyed it.
