Third day of Bluesfest represented this long-suffering Aussie fan's first UM show, after many years of trading and downloading. I know that some purists and more experienced heads may criticise this as being far from their best performance or song selection or whatever, but I LOVED IT!!

And please keep in mind, this was a show in a country that has never been toured by The Dead, Phish, moe..... So THANK YOU to Umphrey's McGee for sharing your wonderful music with us Down Under! There is a hungry audience here keen for more. I hope the joy you gave us, and your Queensland holiday following the festival, made the trip worthwhile and we can see you again real soon.

i understand there were probably time constraints, but regardless, this was still a pretty weak showing from UM. they never really got their teeth into anything. don't get me wrong...they're still the greatest band in the land...just an off night (day?). at least it reminds us they're mortal (sometimes i doubt it)
