My friend Javier gave me a tape of this show early in my entry to the bus. It was my fav year. 60 years ago today… early primal sound, the band beginning to show some promise but still finding their feet. (This is only eight months into their existence.) I don’t care for Cream Puff War, but this is a special version, and it’s the best tune of the show. Schoolgirl is also worth hearing, though Pig is far from mastering the song.

The ultimate Dance Band. Acid was legal but dancing required a permit. Fillmore Auditorium, Longshoremans Hall, the Family Dog....

First out-of-town show according to "A Long Strange Trip" by Dennis McNally. Apparently, it was a bit of an adventure, but it's a fun, energetic listen.
