Arguably the best actual SHOW of this famous Fillmore West run (which supplied the bulk of LIVE/DEAD), this is as complete a set as the band played during early '69. It's still suprisingly hinky, however - yikes, does Jerry clam some notes on Morning Dew! - and the 1st set largely sulks around. Set 2, however, is justifiably legendary. The DS > Stephen > Eleven suite is glorious, even if Lovelight drags. And THIS Alligator > Caution tops 3/2 in all ways.

Vintage. The 2nd set is incendiary, legendary. The sort of juice that gets 2nd set Mick out of bed in the afternoon.

The second set is one for the ages. Great Other One and an epic long sweaty Alligator jam. Can’t imagine what this sounded like in person.
