Infamously regarded as the "black sheep" of the famous Fillmore run - the FILLMORE WEST 1969 box even admits it up-front in the liners! - I actually think 3/1 is the second best show of the run. A *lot* of tuning problems ensured no songs would ever be chosen for LIVE/DEAD back in the day, but I think this Dark Star is FAR fiercer than the famous one on 2/27. The Eleven's opening jam is spectacular, so it's a shame they cut it short. Hey Jude is...a joke. A wonky show, but better than 2/27 or 3/2.
