Put bluntly, the reason this show was chosen to lead DICK'S PICKS 35 because not only had it never circulated before, we weren't even entirely sure it had HAPPENED. It turns out to be a fairly standard show (and a brief one) however, which is why it was only part of a larger compilation set of "missing '71" tapes.
But don't sleep on this show, despite the generic setlist. The playing is WHITE HOT, almost as if the band knows it'll be a shorter night and is compensating. Shoot-'em-up bar band energy.
