Were it not for the LISTEN TO THE RIVER boxed set, this show might never have been properly cleaned up and released. And what a tragedy that would have been. You might look at the setlist and think: why care? It is indeed standard for the time. What isn't is the PERFORMANCE. The Dead fell in love w/the Fox Theater in early 1970, and every show they gave there for three years is crazy. Keith is new, and showing off. NFA is a legendary version. A quietly beautiful show.
