53 years ago today… still a timeless masterpiece. absolutely astonishing performance by the omnipotent grateful dead.

It never ceases to astonish me. every time I listen to shows from the ‘72 Europe Tour I’m so glaringly reminded of Pigs immense fortitude and will to keep the show going despite his marked struggles with his health at this point in his life. This show maybe no better example. The Man has 4 of “his tunes” in the entire set list. Mr. Charlie, Chinatown Shuffle, Good Lovin’ and Hurts me too which he absolutely plays his ever-loving soul into every last word of all aforementioned. Not only that but while railing away on the Harp! He’s Gone….but absolutely never forgotten ??

It's good stuff.
