Everyone has their "birthday show" with the Dead and this is mine - performed 8 years before I was born, that is - and the fact that it comes from Baltimore (near where I grew up) is extra-sweet. This show was released early on as a Dick's Pick, and even though the setlist seems "standard" (which is to say, generously overstuffed) for late '72, looks are deceiving. The major highlight is He's Gone > The Other One > Sing Me Back Home, a second set jam of legendary proportions (TOO is 40 minutes, none wasted)
